Zillow: Rents Unexpectedly High in Lincoln Park

Rents are up again in Lincoln Park, outpacing the tony Gold Coast and Streeterville, according to a new Zillow report. Lincoln Park residents are facing the highest median rents in the city, and that rent has increased over 90% in the last five years. Rent in the North Side's lakefront community went up 8% in the past year alone, with residents paying about $2,567 a month on average, DNAInfo reports. Meanwhile, rents in Streeterville, the Gold Coast, and the Loop were on the decline last year.
