Suburban Medical Group To Expand With $250M Investment
DuPage Medical Group, one of the area's fastest-growing healthcare firms, received a $250M investment from Summit Partners that will allow it to continue expanding.
DuPage Medical Group has been in acquisition mode of late and reported $575M in revenue last year, while employing 480 doctors. The money will be used to buy even more practices and open new offices providing, among other services, immediate care and outpatient surgery, Crain's reports.
DuPage is now the fourth-largest healthcare provider in the Chicago area, and has positioned itself as an alternative for doctors who don't want to be associated with hospital-focused firms like Advocate and Northwestern. The Affordable Care Act has also spurred forward-thinking medical practices to take more chances when it comes to opening offices. [Crain's]
