Some Divvy Love
Not yet a year old, Chicago’s Divvy bike sharing program is getting top marks from users. A survey this week shows that 97% of annual members (who responded) are “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the service, and claim to save more than $760 a year on commuting expenses by riding the bikes. The planet saver in us is thrilled, but we’re still waiting to see if it boosts neighboring property values. Proximity to transportation nodes (including bike lanes, like on Milwaukee Avenue, aka the "Hipster Highway") is generally a plus for multifamily, but its also easy to just buy a bike.
