Pre-Leasing Begins At 640 North Wells
River North's multifamily pipeline is emptying at a steady pace. JDL Development announced that Six Forty is now pre-leasing units in anticipation of a July delivery.
JDL bought the former Ed Debevic's site for $17M in December 2015 and began demolishing the restaurant almost immediately. Six Forty, named after the building's address at 640 North Wells, will rise 22 stories and include 251 luxury rentals. Unit sizes range from 500 SF studios to 1,600 SF three-bedroom units with condo-quality finishes. Rents range from $1,850/month to $5,820/month. Tours of the lobby, model units and a fifth-floor amenity deck are underway, with the first renters expected to move in on July 1.
Six Forty's amenities include a rooftop deck with a heated pool, hot tub, private cabanas with TVs, a demonstration kitchen, fireplace library and 360-degree views of downtown. JDL also developed 1000 South Clark, which opened last year and is now 99% leased. JDL refinanced 1000 South Clark for $145M last October.
