Bisnow Exclusive: 100-Year-Old Firm Embraces Offices of the Future
The country’s oldest and largest independent futures brokerage firm, RJ O’Brien & Associates, is moving its HQ within 222 S Riverside Plaza to improve efficiency and accommodate future growth, Savills Studley’s Rick Schuham (pictured) exclusively tells Bisnow. The company is moving from its 63k SF space on the 9th and 27th floors of the building (occupied for more than a decade) to 53k SF on the 12th and 27th floors. Rick, along with Savills Studley’s John Goodman and Eric Feinberg, repped RJ O’Brien in the new lease; JLL’s Steve Smith repped ownership. How it will do more with less: A modern work plan, highly collaborative space, few private offices and lots of light, Rick tells us.
