Co-Working Spaces Attracting More Freelancers
Co-working spaces are poised to profit on a growing sector of the job market: freelancers. Currently, 34% of the American workforce is comprised of freelancers and that number is expected to grow as more workers embrace the flexibility of choosing their projects. Co-working spaces provide advantages working from home doesn't, reports the Chicago Business Journal. A few of note: technologies such as high-speed Internet and video-conferencing included in rents; a distraction-free environment; and the ability for freelancers to network and expand their client lists. But the most important perk is working in an office environment at a fraction of the cost. [CBJ]
