Ivanhoé Cambridge, Callahan Complete 180 N Lasalle Acquisition
The first major office acquisition of 2016 belongs to Ivanhoé Cambridge and Callahan Capital, which purchased 180 N LaSalle today for $180M.
The Ivanhoé Cambridge-Callahan partnership was under contract to buy the 38-story building last July, part of a four-building, $320M deal it signed with Beacon Capital. Beacon paid $126M for the building in January 2014.
Ivanhoé Cambridge EVP Arthur Lloyd says Chicago is a key city to growing the JV's US platform. Locally, Ivanhoé Cambridge and Callahan have stakes in 10 S Riverside Plaza, 120 S Riverside Plaza and 515 N State.
