Online Boutique Looks To Break Further Into Physical Retail With A Gold Coast Pop-Up
Pop-up retail generally involves small spaces, but according to the retailers using them to break into difficult markets or win new customers, they can pack a major punch.
Notre inked a 1,750 SF pop-up lease at the Waldorf Astoria at 11 East Walton St. in Chicago; it will run through the holiday season.
“With this store, Notre will gain more exposure to a new customer base and continue its development as a boutique retailer,” CBRE’s Phil Golding said. “By entering Chicago’s premier retail market in the Gold Coast, the move shows the strength that the Notre brand has developed.”
Golding, along with colleagues Todd Siegel and Kim Wiskup, represented Notre in the lease.
The men's boutique stocks sneakers, streetwear and fashion collections from popular labels and designers. Notre, which has a large online component and customer base, is also expanding its flagship Chicago store at 118 North Peoria St. in the West Loop to 4,500 SF, up from 1,800 SF.
Notre is working with Norman Kelly Architecture and Oslo Builders on the project. The store will open in late 2018.
