Retail's Favorite Time of Year
Well, one of the favorites. The average American will spend $142.31 on Valentine's Day gifts this year, up $8.40 from last year, according to a recent National Retail Federation survey. While the Midwest average is just $119, it's still good news for local retailers with wares of the red, pink and chocolate variety. The top items on the shopping list?
