Time Out Group Building 50K SF Fulton Market Food Hall
Time Out Group, publishers of entertainment and lifestyle magazines and websites around the globe, confirmed plans for one of Chicago's largest food halls at 916 West Fulton Market.
Time Out Market Chicago would take up a 50K SF spread across three floors, seat 600 people, include a rooftop deck and event space, and feature 16 food and drink offerings curated by Time Out Chicago's editorial staff. Time Out has another food hall in Lisbon, Portugal, which attracted 3.1 million visitors last year. Time Out Market Miami is set to open in 2018, and another market in Boston will open along with the Chicago food hall.
The building was acquired by L3 Capital and LaSalle Investment Management for $14.5M in October 2016, according to Cook County records. The original structure was demolished because it was deemed structurally unsound, and L3 plans to build a similar-looking building on the site. Time Out Market Chicago's footprint would be double the size of Revival Food Hall, the popular street-level food court inside The National at 125 South Clark.
