The Latest Phase of Riverwalk Construction is Underway
Phase 3 of the Chicago Riverwalk construction project has broken ground. The latest phase runs from the LaSalle Street bridge on the east to the Lake Street bridge on the west. The highlight of the construction will be a pedestrian promenade where the river splits into its north and south branches, reports Curbed. Other features include a wetland habitat between Wells and Franklin and an interactive water fountain with seating between LaSalle and Wells. Construction is expected to be completed in mid-2016.
