5 Best Cocktail Joints in Dallas
After-hours doesn't mean you're off the clock in the real estate world, it just means moving your work site. We asked around and found five of the best places to grab a tasty drink while rubbing shoulders and maybe getting a new client lead.
1. Parliament
Restaurant: Parliament
Address: 2418 Allen St, Dallas

Best known for: Plethora of bartenders, a huge list of craft cocktails and happy hour till 8pm, Rosebriar Properties managing director Ryan Stewart tells us.
2. The Cedars Social
Restaurant: The Cedars Social
Address: 1326 S Lamar, Dallas
Signature drink: Moscow Mule
Best known for: Extensive drink menu. IA Interior Architects’ Skyler Renschler Baty says she likes the Cedars’ mixologists and wide selection of cocktails. Peloton Commercial Real Estate’s Barbara Houlihan agrees that the mixologists are the best.
3. Lounge 31
Restaurant: Lounge 31
Address: Upstairs from Bistro 31, 87 Highland Park Village
Signature drink: Picantitos and the Tangier
Best known for: Owner Alberto Lombardi and its Spanish-style Carrera marble bar. MAPP Construction’s Caroline Hurley (pictured right, celebrating her birthday at Lounge 31 with Colliers International’s Mary Stoner Yost) tells us her favorite drink is the St. Tropez Breeze, which isn’t on the menu anymore, but they’ll make it if you ask. It’s a real estate happy hour haven, too, she says.
4. Javier's Gourmet Mexicano
Restaurant: Javier’s Gourmet Mexicano
Address: 4912 Cole Ave, Dallas
Signature drink: The Coffee Pierre (this time of year)
Best known for: Javier’s made Bisnow’s list of top five power dinner spots, too. Duke Realty’s Jeff Thornton tells us the Coffee Pierre is a tableside fire show followed by a warm coffee drink on a cold winter evening. It’s made with carmelized sugar and cinnamon to the side of the glass by lighting 151 proof rum on fire. “I have no idea what else they put in it but do I know the heavy whipping cream on top is the piece de resistance!” he tells us.
5. Clark Food & Wine
Restaurant: Clark Food & Wine
Address: 1920 Greenville Ave, Dallas
Signature drink: Waterloo gin and tonic, prickly pear mojito and ancho chili martini
Best known for: Its secret menu for those who sit at the bar. Metropolitan Capital Advisors’ Scott Lynn says the tapas are excellent. The landlord, Andres Brothers, are Scott’s friends and know how to pick winners, he tells us.
