ARA Newmark has a few O’Boyles in the business. Vice chairman Brian O’Boyle Sr. (above, center) works with his sons Brian Jr. (right, executive managing director) and Kevin (left, investment analyst). Brian Sr. says it’s been a great experience working with his sons. “It's rewarding to see their professional growth and development in this industry and share the ups and downs of the business,” he tells us. The men will spend Father’s Day golfing and cooking out with their whole family.

Stephen Coslik, chairman of The Woodmont Co, runs into his son, Erik, around the office. Erik, a VP on the brokerage side, attended his first industry conference at 14 years old and has been working for the company his father co-founded for more than 15 years. “I have many great memories of fun and laughs with my dad and our valued clients. He is not a only a father, but a mentor,” Erik tells us.

With the career Holt Lunsford, founder and CEO of Holt Lunsford Commercial, has had, it’s no wonder all three of his sons—Holden (above, second from left), Hutton (right) and Hayden (second from right)—are following in his large footsteps. Holden is the marketing director of office at Holt Lunsford Commercial, Hutton is an associate at JLL, and Hayden graduated from DBU last month (and is available for hire in CRE, Holt notes!). “My guys have heard about the companies and legends in our industry at the dinner table for 20 years. Watching them apply work ethic and advance relationships in our industry thrills me. I'm a lucky man to share in their personal and professional lives.”

JLL’s Caleb McCoy grew up looking at buildings with his dad, Younger PartnersByron McCoy. Byron is in office leasing and sales, and Caleb is in industrial, but that doesn’t stop the men from talking shop and learning from each other. “Growing up with a dad who was always able to make it to all my baseball, basketball and football games made brokerage an attractive career choice for me,” Caleb tells us.

Kite Realty Group regional manager of leasing Karly Kilroy cut her real estate teeth on job sites with her dad, BGO senior architect Walter Kilroy. When Karly (above with her dad and mom, Karyn, in the mid-1980s) first started in commercial real estate, her dad was a great sounding board and teacher. “He knows everything there is to know about design and construction, and gave me a great education! Now that I’ve been around for a few years, it is fun to talk business with him. I count on him for the best advice,” Karly tells us. Walter and Karly plan to spend Father’s Day at Walter’s gun club skeet shooting.
