Icy conditions couldn't dampen the thrill of victory for Colliers International EVP Allen Gump. On Thursday, he was presented with the Dallas commercial real estate industry's highest recognition: the NTCAR Stemmons Service Award. Here's Allen bookended by Colliers colleagues Tom Pearson and Chris Teesdale and Dallas leader David Pinsel. Allen tells us the award has such huge meaning because it's awarded by peers. Other nominees included Hall Financial Group's Kim Butler, UCR's Mickey Ashmore, and Transwestern's Nora Hogan. Nominees are judged on their participation in real estate orgs, professional and civic involvement, active production level, and professional standards.

Here's Allen with his daughter (and Colliers colleague) Allyson Gump making that trophy useful with the bubbly. Allen says he's humbled by what the award represents: service to the industry and to the community. Last year's winner, Cresa Dallas managing principal Susan Arledge says Allen has been a continuous top producer and is the 2014 SIOR president-elect and the 2015 incoming national SIOR president. Plus, he's a great husband to Kim (and dad to Allyson, of course). Also at the event, Cassidy Turley's Charlie Morris was presented with the Young Citizens Award. Other nominees included Spire Realty Group's Allison Johnston, Transwestern's Natalie Snyder, and RioCan America Management's Elizabeth Allen.
