FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS
At the beginning of 2009, Transwestern had 20M SF under lease or management. At present, 36M SF. Why? Regional prez Jack Eimer tells Bisnow during the last three or four years, people were interested in buying buildings and making a quick profit on sale more than managing projects and making returns from their operating profits. Now, owners are more focused on efficient operations and are replacing their leasing and management teams, Jack says, and that’s a trend likely to continue. What’s up with the bell? Jack tells us he rings it at to recognize staff achievements. | |
On his way for coffee, Jack (with his favorite mug) popped into Alan Harrington’s office for a pic with Robert Deptula and L. Sanders Thompson (both standing). Jack says three things dominate his free time: faith, family (a wife and last of five children in college), and the great outdoors. For the past 17 years, Jack and his partners have hosted an annual dove hunt in Coleman with about 100 CRE clients and colleagues competing for bragging rights. |
