FW CREW Silver Anniversary
Jackson-Walker's Susan Halsey, CREW prez Barbara Fife and Park Place's George Johnson
Thursday marked 25 years for Fort Worth CREW, so we joined its gala in the Park Place Motorcars showroom at 5601 Bryant Irvin Rd. CREW members, sponsors and guests—including Jackson-Walker's Susan Halsey, CREW president Barbara Fife and host Park Place's George Johnson— feted the occasion at the luxury car  dealership. George tells us CRE brokers practically live in their automobiles, making the partnership with CREW mutually beneficial.
Community Bank's Diann Brewer, G.L. Seaman's Connie Blake, Southwest Securities FSB's Ginger Johnson and WingStar Properties' Cynthia Bailey
CREW event sponsors and past presidents: Community Bank's Diann Brewer, G.L. Seaman's Connie Blake, Southwest Securities FSB's Ginger Johnson, and WindStar Properties' Cynthia Bailey. As an SBA lender, Diann says she's currently working several loans including an urgent care center west of Fort Worth and an owner-occupied construction firm. Ginger says she's doing an SBA deal, too, for a $2M industrial property in Mansfield.
Cedar Hill economic development director Allison Thompson and Mansfield economic development AD Richard Nevins
Speaking of Mansfield, the city's economic development AD Richard Nevins— with Cedar Hill economic development director Allison Thompson— tells us that Ginger's deal is a 30k SF  expansion project at the corner of 287 and Heritage Parkway with potential to add another 70k SF of space as the company grows. He says Mansfield has lots of MOBs building around Methodist Hospital, which recently completed a $40M expansion. Allison says a 5-acre tract in the Cedar Hill Business Park was recently purchased with plans for a 30k SF industrial building to break ground immediately.

We snapped Murray Branding's Jerry Murray, Alamo Title's Suzanne Davis, AUI Contractors' Tony Rader and Patrick Murphy, Elements of Architecture's Debbie Fulwiler, and Integra Realty Resources' Keri Redford. Patrick tells us AUI has a five-story Texas Masonic Retirement Center as well as the Hurst Conference Center slated for completion in the next 30 days. Other projects the firm's working on include three FWISD school remodels, an elementary school for Carroll ISD, Mayfair Park in Hurst, and the Hurst Library expansion. The firm's about halfway through a $5.5M terminal for Arlington Airport, which should be finished in November in preparation for the Super Bowl.
