Hail to the BOMA Chief
July 14, 2010
Stream Realty Partners COO Ray Mackey Jr.'s come a long way from 1984, when his boss told him he was green and needed some guidance. He recommended Ray (center) take some classes at the Dallas BOMA. Fast forward to last week when Ray took over as chairman and chief elected officer of BOMA International, which represents 92 local associations throughout the US and 13 international affiliates. Above, we snapped him between Stream colleagues Chris Jackson, Paul Moser, co-managing partner Mike McVean, and Lance Taylor. | |
Yesterday, we checked out Stream's celebration for Ray. Mike, toasting Ray and his wife Cami (they mark their 31st anniversary next month), says Stream's first major institutional piece of business (the Pyramids at Park Lane) was inked with the firm solely because Ray was part of the team. Ray helped to grow Stream's leasing and management portfolio from 750k SF to more than 60M SF in six major markets. He's worked for Trammell Crow, Rostland Property Management Co., and TI, and Uncle Sam in the USAF. Mike says Ray does anything he sets his mind to, from quitting smoking to losing weight. The ability to leap the Chase Tower in a single bound can't be far behind. |
