Hey Jude!
JLL Mission Critical Solutions VP Brian Oley, Dallas Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Pauline Medrano and Cushman & Wakefield's Rob Morris,
Cell phones illuminated the House of Blues (no lighters with Dallas' smoking ban) back on May 21, as the crowd swayed to the tunes of a Beatles cover band, raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. JLL Mission Critical Solutions VP Brian Oley, here with guest speaker Dallas Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Pauline Medrano and Cushman & Wakefield's Rob Morris, tells us the event featured an impromptu speech from 12-year-old St. Jude patient Savannah Barnes (and mother Lydia), who at age four was diagnosed with a brain tumor (she's now cancer-free).
Friends of St. Jude steering committe members
Here's the lovely (and handsome) steering committee, among the 100 or so in attendance raising $12k along with sponsorships from JLL and Stream Data Centers. (Not to get off the subject, but inDatacenter Barometer, Brian recently ran a study that revealed that some datacenter users may favor top- and second-tier cities such as Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, and Chicago. The study was based on categories like exposure to natural disasters, fiber connectivity, labor, and general real estate considerations like construction costs.) While the fundraiser may have given Brian a Hard Day's Night, nothing beats the teething he's experiencing at home—thanks to baby Jude, delivered by wife Jessica on Feb. 4.
