Might We Suggest Christmas Lights?

What's the future hold for the Golden Triangle Mall? The answer now lies with Cencor Realty Services, which took over management of the regional mall this month. Weitzman/Cencor chairman and CEO Herb Weitzman also tells us Cencor's sister company, The Weitzman Group, was tapped to handle its leasing. |
Cencor SVP Jim Greenfield says it will work with the existing management to revitalize several areas including marketing, physical appearance, and tenant mix. At I-35E South and Loop 288, the 765k SF center is Denton's only mall (plans are supposedly in the works for another large shopping center, Rayzor Ranch, on the north side of town, but the original plans were scrapped and a new developer brought in. We're not holding our breath.) The trade area's traffic has increased with the recent widening on Loop 288, Jim says. Herb has some roots in Denton retail: He directed the development of several retail properties peripheral to Golden Triangle, including Denton Town Center, San Jacinto Plaza, and Shops at Colorado. âWith the right management and leasing program in place, we can enhance the mall's strengths,â he says. |
