New Star: TREC Captain
September 29, 2010
The Real Estate Council's Michelle Corson (here with Balfour Beatty's Peter Read at a recent TREC fireside chat) stepped down Monday as president to follow her husband Larry to Charlotte, NC, where he has accepted the position of CEO at land development company Crescent Resources. Michelle's filled the role since June 2008. Taking her position will be Linda McMahon (not the WWE exec and Connecticut senate candidate), the founder of Neighborhood Strategies, which specializes in capital sourcing and complex financial structuring for affordable housing and community development projects. Prior to this venture, she was the Southwest regional director of community development banking for JPMorgan Chase Bank. Linda says she looks forward to continuing the legacy of impacting the community and shepherding initiatives that address housing, education, job creation, and the environment. We don't have her picture yet, but we'll fix that soon enough. |
