TRINITY TALK
December 2, 2010
The Real Estate Council Young Guns hosted its annual Young Guns Forum at the Hotel ZaZa and focused on developing the Trinity River (we’ve been talking about the river a lot lately) with Todd Event Design Creative Services’ Everett Ledet, TREC’s Lindsey Jamar and Stream Realty’s Kevin Mackey and Ryan Evanich among the full-capacity crowd. The Trinity Trust CEO/prez Gail Thomas moderated a panel discussion emphasizing that the Trinity River is the soul of the city. “We have to reclaim the river,” she says. | |
A Bisnow buddy snapped this shot of WRT urban designer Don Raines, Jim Lake Investments’ Jim Lake, TREC prez Linda McMahon, Dallas mayor Tom Leppert (this is the Metroplex mayoral issue, it appears), Gail, and CityDesign Studio director Brent Brown. The mayor says the Trinity River Corridor is the key to revitalizing Dallas. The project will protect the city's floodway system, add recreational amenities, help transportation, and spur economic development. "Redeveloping the Trinity will do more for this city than anything else,” he says. |
