Details On Mavs' New HQ And Practice Facility
Mark Cuban (the man who just can't seem to stop buying things) closed on a new practice facility and HQ—and eventually a new arena—for the Dallas Mavericks across the street from their current home base of the American Airlines Center. The Mavs' new home in the Design District came as a bit of a surprise, considering most inside sources suspected the Mavs owner would buy in Victory Park or Deep Ellum, reports the Dallas Business Journal.
With 90k SF available at the site along North Stemmons Freeway, current tenants Community Beer Co and Softlayer data center won't be affected immediately. The new property, acquired from investment firm Grossman & Frank, will help make the up-and-coming (make that here-and-now) neighborhood even more popular. [DBJ]
