Exclusive: Top Office Exec Billy Gannon Leaves Cushman & Wakefield For Transwestern
A 13-year veteran of Cushman & Wakefield has switched companies.
Billy Gannon is joining Transwestern as senior vice president in its Occupier Solutions platform where he will handle lease negotiations, dispositions, sale-leasebacks, portfolio reviews and economic incentive analysis.
Gannon brings an extensive background in coworking, corporate relocations, tenant advisory services and legal office solutions to his new role. A well-known DFW-area commercial real estate leader, he received the “Best Urban Office Deal of the Year” award from the Dallas Business Journal in 2013.
“My focus will continue to be on helping companies find the right location, including strategic headquarters deals. In that vein, I’ll explore investment and development opportunities,” Gannon told Bisnow in a written statement. “DFW is almost ground-zero for the war for talent due to all of the recent corporate relocations. I look forward to enabling our clients to attract and retain the best personnel by helping them strategically utilize their office space as a recruiting tool.”
As for what pulled him from a longtime executive level position at Cushman to a competing firm, Gannon said he was drawn to Transwestern’s entrepreneurial environment and the ability it affords him to shape a national approach.
“I appreciate that Transwestern’s Occupier Solutions platform challenges conventional thinking and helps companies through a creative and disciplined approach,” he said. “I was especially attracted to the collaborative environment and the ability to leverage national resources on behalf of multimarket clients.”
