Godwin PC Consolidates Operations At Renaissance Tower
After searching for a new home in several towers over the years, Dallas-based law firm Godwin PC has decided to keep its roots planted at Renaissance Tower.
The law firm has signed a lease for 43k SF at the downtown skyscraper at 1201 Elm St, down from the 61k SF it occupied as part of its original lease signed in 2012. The firm had originally planned to seek out space in a newer office tower, but decided to stay put and consolidate its operations, the Dallas Business Journal reports. A larger trend has been developing among law firms to reduce space by losing traditional law libraries and doing away with large corner offices.
As part of the deal, Godwin has the opportunity to expand its space within the tower as needed. Godwin is the latest downtown tenant to reduce its footprint in the area by consolidating operations. Just last week, Occidental Petroleum freed up several floors in Occidental Tower as part of the consolidation of its Dallas operations. [DBJ]
