Last Night at Fight Night!
A record-breaking crowd of more than 1,300 of commercial real estate's finest raised more than $1M at The Real Estate Council's Fight Night last night at the Hilton Anatole.
We snapped TREC chairman Sue Ansel (Gables Residential president and CEO), Fight Night chairman Bill Vanderstraaten (Chief Partners co-founder) and TREC vice chairman Diane Butler (Butler Burgher Group CEO). Bill tells us the $1M raised last night is one of the highest amounts for the event, which featured appearances from several Dallas Cowboys legends—Nate Newton, Tony Casillas and Darren Woodson.
Special guest at the event was former heavyweight boxing champion and 1968 Olympic gold medalist boxer George Foreman. And, no, we did not grill him about any of his outside business ventures.
Here's the awesome crowd at the Bisnow table: Freedom Title's Patrick Minarovich, Total Leak Concepts' Russ Walker, Prudential Asset Resources' Sandra Poortvliet Beeching, Robert Usrey, Prudential's Kelli Burke, Cushman & Wakefield's Maschera Usrey, Bisnow Texas business manager Karen Pierre and her husband, Jack Pierre.
Our DFW reporter, Tonie Auer, couldn't resist a few selfies with the celebrities present. In addition to her ringside selfie with George, she found TCU alum and Heisman Trophy winner LaDainian Tomlinson in the crowd. In a seven degrees of separation moment, he came to the Bisnow table to chat with Russ, the son of another Heisman winner, Doak Walker. (We continued the Walker family tradition by hanging out with two of Doak's grandchildren, Stream's Ryan Wolcott and Colliers' Lindsay Wolcott.)
