Mohr Partners’ Bob Mohr says that the advisory firm completes about 2,500 transactions per year and that the current market is as good as he’s ever seen it in his career. He adds that the office sector is seeing rent growth, and the market is experiencing fee compression from significant landlords on renewals. A lot of folks renegotiated their leases two or three years before they expired, and now that the market is increasing, it’s all about new transactions. Bob adds that the corporate client is reducing its footprint, downsizing space by a third or more, and that’s for the entire portfolio, not just one office.
