The evening’s highlight was the presentation of NTCAR's 2015 Stemmons Service Award to CBRE/UCR Urban EVP Jack Gosnell (pictured getting a hug from the 2014 Stemmons Award winner, Hall Financial Group director of leasing Kim Butler). Stemmons Award nominees included some of the industry’s biggest names: CBRE’s Steve Berger, Carey Cox’s Bill Cox and Citadel Partners’ Scott Morse.

Jack (with his family by his side) says he’s lucky to get to do a job that he loves. The self-proclaimed Downtown nut anticipates the revival of the West End, but says his most exciting project has been the Dallas Farmers Market. When it comes to the pros who have taught him the most, he says Henry S. Miller Jr. was the most impactful, giving him a job straight out of college. Other big influencers: fellow CBRE/UCR vice chairman Mickey Ashmore and CBRE SVP Mike Friedman (the 2006 Stemmons winner).

The 2014 Young Citizen Award recipient, Transwestern’s Natalie Snyder, presented this year’s winner, Hillwood’s Reid Goetz, with his award. Reid credited his family for giving him a moral compass and his wife for knowing that the after-hours work events really are work related. He also credited the Hillwood team for their instruction and guidance. The nominees included The Weitzman Group's Elizabeth Allen, JLL's Allison Johnston and HPI Real Estate Services' Hunter Lee. The Millennials proved that they’re full of energy and creativity with a special nominees video clip played at the awards. (You have to watch the whole thing. Mandatory.)
