Paintmaker Benjamin Moore Opens 238K SF Distribution Center In Bustling 121 Corridor
The 121 Corridor has a new industrial tenant with paint manufacturer Benjamin Moore moving its workforce into a 238K SF regional distribution center in Lewisville.
The company, which is under the Berkshire Hathaway umbrella, signed a lease at 121 Lakepointe Crossing at 2525 East State Highway 121.
With the company experiencing significant growth in DFW, it moved from its 70K SF distribution center in Mesquite and plans to use its old space solely for manufacturing.
The paintmaker reviewed several cities before selecting Lewisville, Cushman & Wakefield Managing Director Mark Collins said in a statement. Collins and colleagues Dean Collins and Bill Brown assisted Benjamin Moore in its search for a facility.
“With this lease, Benjamin Moore is expanding its presence in DFW by more than 167K SF, which will also involve growing their employee base,” Collins added.
“It is a long-term deal that will increase Benjamin Moore’s presence in the North Texas area for the foreseeable future. The new distribution center is strategically located within the metroplex and the region to enable the company to efficiently serve its network.”
The property sits across from the Sam Rayburn Tollway and newer population centers associated with the Castle Hills and Berkshire Hathaway's Grandscape development.
The 121 Lakepoint Crossing development is in the Far North/I-35 submarket, which has more than 21M SF of inventory and a 3.8% vacancy rate, Cushman & Wakefield data shows.
The market also has 484K SF of industrial space under construction.
