Sara Terry Leaves Stream To Lead Colliers' New Agency Leasing Group
Veteran Dallas commercial real estate executive Sara Terry is leaving Stream Realty Partners for Colliers International.
Terry has two decades of experience in tenant and landlord representation, property management and construction oversight, and will help Colliers build out its new DFW Office Agency Leasing Group.
“I am stepping into a new role at Colliers where I will be starting from scratch building a new agency leasing team. My focus will be to build a strong portfolio of high-quality property listings with a focus on institutional grade assets,” Terry told Bisnow. “I will be focusing 100% on landlord representation and working with investors who are owners of properties and who may be looking at purchasing properties.”
Before joining Colliers this month, Terry served Stream Realty as senior vice president, where she focused on leasing high-quality institutional assets in the office space. Prior to moving to Dallas in 2014, Terry worked with developer Crescent Communities in Atlanta, handling mega-leases on the landlord side of the market for relocating companies such as NCR and Carter’s/OshKosh.
Terry is moving to Colliers as DFW employers are beginning to warm to the idea of moving back into an established office. She said the hunt for higher-quality assets at lower prices is already taking place across North Texas.
“We are already starting to see an increase in office occupancy in buildings across the metroplex, that is a positive trend that is going to continue.”
Assets in the Main Street area in Downtown Dallas and the lower Dallas North Tollway present some of the best value prospects in the market today, she said.
Terry was named a Bisnow Power Woman in 2019 and is on the board of directors for the Dallas chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women. She is a graduate of Georgia State University and is past president of the university's Real Estate Alumni Group.
