Texas Reigns For Hispanic Entrepreneurship
It'll come as no surprise, but Texas dominates the new list of 2016’s Best Cities For Hispanic Entrepreneurs. With National Small Business Week kicking off May 1, WalletHub conducted an in-depth analysis of 19 metrics that make cities ideal for Hispanic business owners. Eight of the top 20 cities are in Texas–including the top three: Laredo, El Paso and Corpus Christi. Brownsville was seventh and Amarillo, Plano, San Antonio and Grand Prairie rounded out the Texas showings.
According to some estimates, the Hispanic and Latino community are expected to make up one-third of the entire US population by 2050. This demographic is creating businesses at 15 times the national rate, according to analytics firm Geoscape and the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. [WalletHub]
