Texas Absent from List of Top National Incentivized Deals Q1
Dallas-based Site Selection Group listed the top economic incentive deals across the country for Q1 '15 and Texas didn't make the list (out of 230 deals tracked.) The top economic incentive deal, thus far, in 2015 was valued at $53M in Tennessee for the Nissan North America HQ (pictured) for its $160M investment. Site Selection Group believes it's the result of a new governor (Greg Abbott) who campaigned on bringing more accountability to the business attraction process, reports the Dallas Business Journal. State legislators are contemplating changes to the state's top two incentive funds, the Texas Enterprise Fund and the Texas Emerging Technology Fund. [DMN]
