The Future Of Healthcare In Dallas
What's the future of healthcare in DFW? Methodist Health Systems COO Pamela Stoyanoff, a panelist at Bisnow's DFW Healthcare Event and a force behind the system's big expansion, gave us a preview of what's to come. Read below, and see Pamela at our event April 13 at the Hotel InterContinental.
With Pamela at the wheel, Methodist Health Systems has grown substantially over the last several years and is expected to do the same in the next five. She tells us the growth is concentrated on opening ambulatory campuses and urgent care centers with advanced technology.
Late last year, Methodist Mansfield opened a new patient care tower and a heart and vascular center. The healthcare complex offers the latest medical technology and even robot-assisted surgery.
Pamela tells us one of the trends in healthcare is the popularity of freestanding imaging centers. In the future, it's unlikely we'll see any "de novo" hospitals opening, she tells us. It's more likely that new construction will be geared towards smaller campus development, centered around outpatient services. While providing the very best healthcare is the first priority, she says that creating a positive work culture is important as well.
