Med-Trans Finds Unique Ground Lease Solution For New HQ
Rubicon Representation will break ground next week on a 35k SF facility for Med-Trans Air Medical Transport at Denton Municipal Airport. Med-Trans, which partners with medical systems to provide emergency helicopter transportation, will relocate its regional HQ from Lewisville.
The ground-up construction will be broken into 26k SF of office and classroom space and 9k SF of hangar for helicopter storage. Med-Trans will now have teaching space to accommodate training for pilots, nurses, mechanics and all other hands-on staff.
Finding a solution for Med-Trans' unique needs required looking outside the box, Rubicon managing partner Kyle Jacobs told us. After determining what FAA requirements the company needed to follow and what training facilities would work best, Med-Trans signed a 15-year ground lease with the Denton Airport, Rubicon COO and partner Chad Hennings said.
Rubicon will begin construction next week with plans to deliver by July 2017.
