UT Southwestern To Expand 650K SF
UT Southwestern Medical Center is expanding its footprint by 650K SF with a third tower, D CEO reports.
The expansion will bring 300 more hospital beds and 19 more operating rooms. Two more parking structures will be constructed to accommodate increased traffic.
The cost of the project, part of the first phase of the $875M West Campus Facilities Replacement Plan, will come to $480M. It is projected to finish in 2020.
The plan is to add 1.1M SF to the existing hospital over the next 20 years.
