Atlanta-Based Developer Completes Massive Logistics Hub In Southern Dallas
An enormous logistics hub has been unveiled in Southern Dallas as the region continues its streak of industrial deliveries.
Sunridge Industrial Park in Wilmer is the latest delivery from Stonemont Financial Group, an Atlanta-based firm with several projects scattered across the region. The 565K SF development includes 135 truck stalls and 309 parking spaces, according to a release.
The general contractor was LGE Design Build, which entered the Texas market in 2019 and has 2.9M SF of active projects statewide.
“The South Dallas market offers unparalleled connectivity to Interstate 45, a vital thoroughfare facilitating the flow of goods to Texans via the Port of Houston and Union Pacific Intermodal, coupled with proximity to Interstate 20,” Stonemont Senior Vice President Josh Wheeler said in a statement.
Dallas-Fort Worth’s industrial sector once again led the nation last year in terms of deliveries. Rental rates continued to go up even as an influx of new inventory caused the market’s vacancy rate to climb slightly.
Stonemont also developed DFW Point35, a speculative warehouse campus in North Fort Worth that garnered immediate interest from investors, per the Dallas Morning News. In addition, the developer sold a 214K SF industrial facility near Alliance Airport to Pennsylvania-based firm Victaulic last year.
