Garland Nets Another Big Corporate Expansion
Garland just garnered another massive development deal. South Korean nutritional supplement manufacturer Nutribiotech is expanding its 60K SF facility by 625K SF over five years.
New construction will comprise 250K SF, and 375K SF will be renovated from the old Raytheon facilities. The project is slated to ring up a bill of over $100M and bring 1,600 new jobs to Garland over the course of its development, according to a City of Garland press release.
“Food is one of our target industries, and Nutribiotech has been a great addition in that regard. Further, this major expansion syncs perfectly with our larger corporate expansion strategy,” Garland Director of Economic Development David Gwin said in a statement.
The old Raytheon site is providing new buzz for Garland development as big space purchases keep rolling in, such as Langford Property Co.’s 800K SF Class-A commercial flex-space project.
The remaining 39 acres at the 110-acre former Raytheon campus are spoken for; Southeastern Freight Lines and Ricky Rockets have committed to developing the remaining space.
