New Landry Commercial Exec Plans To Expand Industrial Platform
Landry Commercial Real Estate services is a relatively new DFW brokerage firm with ambitious plans to grow its industrial footprint quickly.
To accomplish this, Landry hired former Transwestern principal Joe Whitmer as partner and managing director of industrial services.
Whitmer, who spent 12 years at Transwestern, said he sees it as an opportunity to join a familial team that is in rapid growth mode, particularly with the firm expecting to scale up its industrial brokerage services in the coming year.
Landry hopes to add 10 to 15 industrial-focused specialists in the coming years, given all of the demand for industrial properties around the Metroplex.
"Dallas continues to grow at what I would say is a dramatic pace as a national leader in the industrial sector, so we want to grow with it and meet the current demands of that growth and be a part of it, presently, and in the near future as it progresses," Whitmer said.
Landry Commercial is a full-service firm founded in 2015 that offers brokerage services to office, industrial, retail and land clients.
"I worked with Joe while growing Transwestern’s industrial group in 2008 and he was an integral part of the success of that team,” Landry Commercial President Brant Landry said. “Fast-forward a few years and we are joining forces again. Joe is an important next step in the strategic growth for Landry Commercial to expand our presence in Dallas and beyond to offer our clients a full-service strategy that includes tenant representation, construction management, property management, leasing services, capital markets and build-to-suit solutions.”
