Southport Logistics Park In South Dallas Suburb Inks 1.1M SF Industrial Tenant
Logistics Property Co. inked a deal for a tenant to occupy 1.1M SF at its Southport Logistics Park in the South Dallas submarket.
The new tenant is an undisclosed consumer packaged goods manufacturer and is taking space at 1200 Fulghum Road, LPC said.
“We’re excited to announce Southport Logistics Park’s first two state-of-the-art logistics facilities are now 100% leased,” said Kent Newsom, LPC executive vice president – South Region.
LPC expects Southport, which is housed in the Dallas suburb of Wilmer, to house 3.55M SF of Class-A industrial space once it is fully completed and leased. The park is a 252-acre master-planned logistics destination in the South Dallas area.
Southport Logistics Park already has a 400K SF cross-dock facility fully leased to a subsidiary of a Fortune 100 e-commerce retailer and the 1.1M SF cross-dock facility leased to the CPG manufacturing tenant. The company is marketing Phase 3, a 1.2M SF speculative build-to-suit pad 1 mile east of Interstate 45 and Union Pacific Intermodal. A fourth phase is planned to include a 850K SF speculative build-to-suit space.
CBRE’s Kacy Jones and John Hendricks represented the landlord in the latest deal. The Chicago-based tenant was represented by Colliers International’s Allen Gump, Lynn Reich and Suzanne Serino.
LPC has been expanding in the development, acquisition and management of logistics space. The firm said it expects to close on additional properties in Texas, Pennsylvania and the Midwest as it continues to build out its development pipeline of 20M SF.
