Taking Industrial Beyond The Average Project
FCL Builders is about to celebrate its 40th birthday, but the company was new to Dallas only three years ago. However, its people were not. Most of the team is Texas-based, and most of that group is from Dallas. VP Larry Davis tells us the focus is strong on building warehousing, distribution, food processing and cold storage facilities. Projects in Texas have ranged from 90k SF for DCT to 415k SF for the Pauls Corp to about 500k SF for Trammell Crow. Larry adds that the company has a depth of experience beyond the traditional warehouse/distribution facility. As a company, FCL has a strong record on industrial buildings that require process, such as cold storage and/or food processing facilities; Mars, the candy people, have FCL building a 1.4M SF Midwest facility that's all-cooled, with a quarter of it cold. In Texas, FCL has completed or is completing projects for Trammell Crow, DCT, Ridge Development, Prologis, Centerpoint Properties and Vista Properties. Larry attributes much of its success to its strong record of repeat customers, as well as its acute attention to customer service.
