Vanguard To Open Dallas Office
Investment giant Vanguard is expanding in Texas with a new Dallas-Fort Worth office.
The office, slated to open in early 2022, will be staffed by financial advisers and information technology professionals.
"Establishing a new office in Dallas reflects our continued commitment to hiring top advisor and technology talent to support our advised clients," Vanguard CEO Tim Buckley said in a statement.
The DFW economy is considered one of the more stable and growing investment markets in the U.S.
After winter weather slowed the Texas economy in February, the state quickly bounced back, with employment in March growing on an annualized basis at 11.3%, compared to 8% for the entire country, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas reported.
The Texas financial services industry also remains an exception to the rule. While employment levels in most industries remain below pre-pandemic levels — on average, nationwide employment for major industries were down 1% on an annualized basis in March — the financial services sector is showing 1.3% growth.
