The Newest Grocer to Open in Oak Cliff is …
The local family-owned organic and farm fresh grocer, Cox Farms Market, opened Thursday as the regional operator’s second location (the first is in Duncanville) as the anchor tenant for the $50M Sylvan | Thirty. Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings joined Sylvan | Thirty developer Brent Jackson for the festivities at the seven-acre mixed-use development in West Dallas. We hear Brent shaved the Duck Commander-style beard just before running in the Glass City Marathon in Toledo on Sunday. He qualified to run in the 2015 Boston Marathon.
Sylvan | Thirty’s leasing team of Retail Street Advisors’ Zac Porter and Helen Hill tell us Sylvan Avenue will be complete in mid-May, just in time for the apartment move-ins July through September. Then, Teiichi Sakurai’s concept, Ten, opens in September. Other signed leases include Oak Cliff Crossfit and Sync Yoga. The duo is currently in lease negotiations with a bakery and gourmet market, Zac tells us. Plus, there is a pub, multiple coffee retailers, a juice place, and Tex-Mex restaurants all in various stages of LOIs and discussions. (We have an LOI for a big plate of cheese enchiladas, por favor!)
