Frisco Planning & Zoning Approves 500 Apartments
The City of Frisco's Planning & Zoning Commission has approved a 500-apartment development at the corner of Preston Road and Brookhollow Boulevard.
The project will be built across five lots by the Rudman Partnership, and was listed by P&Z on the consent agenda, meaning it considered it noncontroversial, according to Community Impact. The approved area consists of 45 acres, and development is slated to remove 57 trees. The project has yet to submit construction plans, and there is no timeline for completion.
While some in Frisco expressed concern about additional apartments, commissioner Rob Cox said the only reason to deny a project such as this — allowed by the lot's zoning parameters — would be for safety concerns.
