Put Up Your Dukes: It’s Fight Night
The Real Estate Council’s 26th Fight Night brought together Big D’s biggest commercial real estate names for an evening of boxing, casino gaming, good food, booze, and lots of schmoozing. Here’s what the Bisnow table looked like with (standing) Frisco EDC’s Jim Gandy and Nancy Windham, and Cadence McShane’s Mike Geach; (seated) Cadence McShane’s Joel Wells, Callaway Architecture’s Tony Callaway; Atrium’s Brenda Hesse; and Bisnow’s own development diva, Joni Margotta.
Looking dapper as always are the guys from Henry S Miller: Grant Brodeur, Robert Grunnah, Chris Armstrong, Lew Wood, and Lane Kommer. Continuing our multifamily theme, Lew tells us the Statler-Hilton sale should close in the next week or so.
We snapped TREC vice chairman Sue Ansel (Gables Residential), Fight Night chairman Trey Morsbach (HFF), TREC prez Linda McMahon, and TREC chairman Paul Rowsey (Compatriot Capital). Trey tells us TREC raised $1M for its charities again this year. He also chaired the ’09 TREC Giving Gala, which provided some great training for this gig, he tells us.
Honored guests for the event included more than a half-dozen Dallas Cowboys players. We sneaked over to snap this photo, which includes Darrion Weems, Jeremy Parnell, Ronald Leary, and starting center, Travis Frederick. We didn’t get a chance to grab all their names because the dinner bell was ringing. But, here’s to hoping they look as good on the field in September as they do in their suits and ties.
