The $7.2M Redo And Expansion Of Carpenter Park Recreation Center Is Finished
MYCON General Contractors completed the construction of the city of Plano’s new natatorium and the renovation of Carpenter Park Recreation Center.
The 15K SF natatorium was part of a $7.2M project that started in August 2016 to expand and reinvigorate the Carpenter Park Recreation Center. MYCON used a phased plan in which it built the walls and roof of the natatorium first to minimize weather delays and the need for scaffolding. SmithGroupJJR was the architect on the project.
“We are happy to deliver this project on time and on budget for the city of Plano, and we have enjoyed working with the entire project team,” MYCON Vice President Scott Pitt said. “The city planners, officials, residents and other stakeholders understand how projects like this contribute to the quality of life in the community and how they are critical components of healthy cities with vibrant and growing economies. We appreciate being part of that effort.”
