Common Desk To Triple Its DFW Footprint
Common Desk, the co-working concept in Deep Ellum and Oak Cliff, will open a third and fourth location in Fort Worth and Plano later this year. The flagship location in Deep Ellum will also undergo a 4,500 SF expansion.
“These expansions are a second wave of growth for us,” Common Desk founder and CEO Nick Clark said. “The goal is to be the best co-working provider in DFW. Once we feel like we've covered the Metroplex, we'll begin looking at other metropolitan areas.”
The expansion and addition of two locations will triple Common Desk’s DFW footprint in an effort to combat two new national co-working concepts in Dallas: WeWork (which announced yesterday that it will expand to Plano) and Regus’ Spaces.
Common Desk will occupy 27k SF at Granite V within Granite Park in Plano, giving it proximity to all those new restaurants opening at The Boardwalk this quarter. Everything that Common Desk members are used to — including mezzanine space, quirky amenities and craft beers on tap — will be found at Plano’s first co-working space when it opens in spring 2017.
Alt+Co Launch is representing Common Desk in finalizing its Fort Worth branch. The 13k SF location will open in summer 2017 in the walkable West 7th Corridor.
The additional 4,500 SF at the Deep Ellum location will allow room for a newly renovated exterior, an outdoor patio and conference room, a relaxation room, showers and additional dedicated offices. These renovations will also debut in spring 2017.
