Super Bowl VI MVP and NFL Hall of Famer Roger Staubach could predict Super Bowl LI’s victor based on Tom Brady and Matt Ryan’s performances, but the JLL Americas executive chairman used his real estate chops to call another victory for the Patriots.

Boston’s diverse job market of healthcare, education, technology, finance and life science can be seen in the 2% year-over-year job growth. In Q4 2016, Boston had one of the most active quarters on record and absorbed 3M SF of office leases larger than 20k SF. Two-thirds of those leases were for growing companies, according to JLL research.

Tech companies accounted for 40% of the overall activity in Q3 2016.

Office rents across Boston have increased by 27% since 2010. Rents in Atlanta have increased by 15% since 2010.

Staubach and JLL research accurately predicts Super Bowl winners about 70% of the time.

Having déjà vu from Super Bowl XLIX? Staubach accurately predicted a Patriots win for the 2015 game based on the office vacancy rates of Boston and Seattle. Staubach, a former Dallas Cowboy, also foresaw a win for the Broncos last year.
