Westdale, Hines And Ivanhoé Cambridge Purchase Land For Deep Ellum Mixed-Use Development
Westdale Real Estate Investment and Management wooed Uber to Dallas in 2019 by launching The Epic mixed-use development in the eclectic Deep Ellum neighborhood and revealing a modern Class-A office property on the site.
Uber then chose the development's second phase office tower, The Epic II, as a local headquarters and broke ground on the site this month.
With Uber bringing hundreds of jobs to Deep Ellum in the coming years, Westdale is moving forward with another creative office development in Downtown Dallas that partners it with Hines and Ivanhoé Cambridge.
The three companies purchased land at 2700 Commerce St. in Dallas’ Deep Ellum neighborhood to create a 16-story, mixed-use development, known as The Stack Deep Ellum. The final project will bring 15K SF of street-front retail and 200K SF of office space to the redeveloping neighborhood.
Deep Ellum launched in 1873 and has gone through decades of change with the neighborhood offering old industrial architecture, mural-art-covered streets and a walkable environment filled with hip music and restaurant venues.
Westdale anchored the city’s newfound focus on Deep Ellum this year with the opening of The Epic mixed-use development. 5G Studio Collaborative is designing the proposed office development and released images showing a business-focused site that embraces Deep Ellum's defining architecture.
