Wingstop Headed For Uptown Dallas After Signing 112K SF HQ Lease
Wingstop is the latest company to move its corporate offices to Uptown.
The company has signed a 112K SF, three-floor lease for a new headquarters at One West Village, a 240K SF office building owned by OliveMill Holdings, the Dallas Business Journal reported.
“The Dallas area has been our home for nearly 30 years and we are excited about our new headquarters in the heartbeat of Dallas in Uptown, which positions us for the next phase of growth for our brand,” Donnie Upshaw, senior vice president of corporate restaurants and chief people officer for Wingstop, told the DBJ.
The fast-casual restaurant chain is the latest in a series of firms choosing to ditch their existing digs in favor of Uptown. Bank of America, Chase Bank, Deloitte and Invesco all plan to move their Downtown-based operations further north in the coming months.
Wingstop moved into its Addison headquarters at 15505 Wright Brothers Dr. in 2020 after purchasing the 78K SF building for $18.3M in 2019.
It is not yet clear when Wingstop will relocate or if it plans to sell its Addison HQ. As of December, the company employed 1,225 people, of whom 271 were full-time, corporate-based and regional personnel, according to an annual report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
