Sundance Square Tower 2 Inks New Anchor Tenant, To Rebrand
DFW is about to get a second skyline building named for Bank of America. Sundance Square Tower 2 at 301 Commerce St. in Fort Worth will be renamed Bank of America Tower in Sundance Square after the financial institution inked a 68k SF lease. Sometime in mid-2017, the name will officially change and signage will be added. Merrill Lynch, a tenant in Sundance Square Tower 1, will move to the Bank of America Tower.
Sundance Square president and CEO Johnny Campbell said adding a retail location for Bank of America on the ground floor will enhance the entire block.
The new lease will allow 180 employees from other locations to relocate into the three-story office. Bank of America also has plans for a new 4k SF financial center to be constructed on the first level of the newly renamed tower in 2018. To accommodate the new center, sidewalks will be extended to add square footage to the building.
At 38 stories, Tower 2 is the second-tallest building in Fort Worth after Burnett Plaza at 801 Cherry St.
