CRE Fish Tales
It's exciting when you land major clients, but that happens all the time. But you only haul in a 21-pound peacock bass once in a blue moon. (They are rarely looking for office space.) Site Selection Group SVP Jeff Patman (pictured with his friend, Stewart Hunter) landed this guy a few weeks ago while on a seven-day fishing trip on the Amazon River. This big fish was just seven pounds shy of a world record, Jeff tells us. His love of fishing started as a boy while bass fishing on Lake Fork with his dad, Pat Patman (a long time land broker).
Macfarlan Capital Partners partner Mac Macfarlan shows off the roosterfish that he caught on his honeymoon in Costa Rica a few years ago. Right after his wife snapped this photo, he noticed she was turning green so they quickly headed for dry land. Now, three kiddos under the age of 3 later, she still fishes with him, though mostly just in calm water. Mac recently closed Campbell Glen II, a 205k SF office building in Richardson (fully leased to AT&T). Last year, the firm closed on Midtown I & II in Atlanta (also fully leased to AT&T). The two office buildings total 800k SF.
